Table Maker Reports contain tables related to a particular class of data that can be presented to investors. Examples of different data classes include bond data, revenues, and the priority of payments. The user with Report Admin capabilities is able to create these reports. These tables allow the Report Admin to quickly set up tables on a specific set of data in order to understand Deal performance. These reports can be presented to other users, but they will not be able to make edits.  

The Report Admin can generate a Table Maker Report. To begin creating this report, go to the insights and reports tab and open a new report. On the bottom, there will be the “Table Maker” option as shown below.

In the “Create New Widget” screen, name the table being created and link the intended Performance Data. 

Note: The Benchmark feature is not available in this report

After naming and linking the Deal, choose what data class is being filtered. Additional filters can also be added. To add additional fields to filter by, press the “+” icon, choose the values, and define the filtering logic. Data can be filtered by any of the fields in the data facility which often include text, date, and numeric filter options. See the image below.

Then, select the Data As of Date from the available periods in the data facility. This is the date from which the report will start to show data. 

Data As of Date(s) options:

  1. Specific available date
  2. Initial Period Date
  3. Current Period Date
  4. Prior Month
  5. Prior Quarter
  6. Prior Year
  7. Last Day of Last Month - renders the last calendar day of last Month 
  8. Last Day of Last Week - renders the Sunday of the last week 
  9. Range: Choose the relevant date range

Sort by Function

Use this function to choose what category the Report admin wants to sort through. The arrows indicate if the sorting will be ascending or descending. Press the “x” on the right hand corner to delete a sorting selection. Up to four sorting functions can be chosen, and they can be ordered by importance.

Table Sums

This report has the option to add a “Table Sums” row and the ability to choose the field that will display a total on the widget.

After all of the selections have been made to custom the report, clicking generate Table on the lower right hand corner will open the report with the relevant data. See the example below.

Editing the Report In order to make changes to the report, one must open the edit wizard. Changes cannot be made from the widget.

Transposing the table Go to the table Maker in the reports, and select the fields you want to see.

In order to see the table transposed - select “Show values as:” - rows.
You can then select if the first row will look like a header or if it will be a part of the data of the table itself.
