The Stratification Table set up tools save time by automatically defining the rows within the table. Users can define ranges for numeric data by setting the number of steps between the min and max values and set discrete buckets for text data by selecting the fields to bring into the table.
Detailed Functionality Description
With T-REX bucket set up tools, users can define buckets for stratification using 3 methods: values, range and custom.
Values:
The values tool is used for text data fields which consist of discrete values. It allows the user to view all of the values within the list and choose a discrete value quickly and efficiently. Selected values will be buckets in the table. A value may be chosen more then once, having the same band displayed in several places.
Ranges:
The ranges tool is for numeric fields and allows users to create equal size bands between a range of values. The min and max of the selected data field are displayed, giving the user an understanding of the entire data set range. The user sets the min and max values of the desired stratification, and the size of each step to define each band. setting the min and max is not restricted by the data field range. The number of bands is the range divided by the size of the steps. The maximum number of buckets is 70.
Custom:
Users can use the Custom tool that gives maximum flexibility to define ranges, of multiple sizes, with custom names. This allows the user to define value buckets as well as range buckets in the same table.
