Within the Reports tab on platform, a user will see both My Reports and Deal Reports tabs. Reports located under the My Reports tab are private reports that are created by that user. Deal Reports are reports that were created by the Deal Owner or pre-built by T-REX. When a user with Deal Owner permissions creates a Deal Report it will be shared with all users who have access to the deal.

Once Deal Reports are published, users with access to the deal can view the reports, however, they can not edit the Deal Reports. These reports enable the Deal Owner to build and share specific Cashflow and Performance Data Reports with other users in a read-only state.

Building a Deal Report

Building a Deal Report is similar to building a personalized report, however it is shared with other users automatically.  Another user can edit the report if they have the appropriate deal access. Report Analysts can only view Deal Reports, while Deal Owners, Model Managers, and Deal Managers can edit Deal Reports.

  • First, the user must create a Report with a Cashflow Widget as shown below:

  • Then, the user must select the "Make Visible" option as shown below:

  • After following these steps, any users with a Report Analyst role will be able to see the report configuration by opening the editor but will not be able to modify any of the report.

After confirming that the report should be made visible, the user will see an icon indicating that the report has been published, as shown below. Additionally, a user can hover over the icon to see when the action was performed.
