Overview
Seasoning Charts enable users to compare the trajectories of multiple cohorts on a common timeline. Users can perform Vintage or other cohort-based analysis, evaluating the behavior of an asset over its life and comparing to others.

Detailed Functionality Description
Prerequisite: Performance data must include a Seasoning Start Date to ensure the functionality works.
Pull in a Benchmark, Deal, or Portfolio and align it to a common starting period. Any performance metric in your Field Library can be plotted over periods and grouped into a cohort.
To create a customized Seasoning Chart:
- Navigate to the Reports tab of your deal or data facility.
- Open a new Report and Widget and select Performance Data Graph.
- Name your chart and select a Data Source – it can be a deal or a benchmark.
- Chart any data field in your Field Library, or select a calculated field, e.g., CPR.
When the user has set their data, they can group the assets into cohorts defined by any data field. If the user has included a Seasoning Start Date in their data set, they can set a Vintage Cohort, or use other elements like Deal Name, Asset Class, or other grouping selections.
Prior to selecting Generate Report, select Normalize to Seasoning Period to use the new feature.
Important Technical Notes
1. Every loan must have a Seasoning Start Date field, populated with a valid date. Sometimes the Seasoning Start Date being mapped to the origination date or other date field, this information should be provided by the deal’s owner.
2. For the chart to be displayed properly, all the historical data should be filled starting the seasoning start date and till the current date.
