Performance Data Charts & Graphs are equipped with greater flexibility and customizability for improved data visualization.
Performance Data Graphs offer a revamped reporting wizard that enables users to Plot Key Performance Data Points (e.g., default or prepayment rates) by groupings (e.g., geography or credit score). In seconds, create visually pleasing and easy to read, time-series graphs for assets within single security or a user-defined Benchmark group comprising multiple securities.
Performance Data Charts & Graphs Filters:
Users can filter the data that is being plotted on a time-series graph. Filtering takes place before any calculation is performed, allowing users to analyze subsets of the data set while still breaking out the data by grouping. Users can filter on text, numeric, and dates values with no limitation to the number of filters.
Using the filter in the Performance Data Charts & Graphs:
After selecting the Data Class, a plus icon next to the Data Class field will become enabled. Upon clicking on it, a new field will open. The field selection dropdown prompts users with a list of the fields that are available for the data facility.
By clicking on the T-REX blue plus sign, it opens a dropdown field with all available fields within the data facility.
Filter Types: Based on the field type which is selected, the relevant filter type will open:
Text: Multi-select with autocomplete:
Numeric:
Date:
Performance Data Charts & Graphs Calculations: Performance Data Graphs can perform a variety of calculations through the aggregation metrics to give users better insights into their data.
% of Dependent Field: Selecting % of Dependent Field allows users to perform two different calculations depending on configuration.
- Calculate what the percentage group of assets is out of the portfolio total for that field
- Calculate a ratio of a group of data within one field over the same group in another field.
By default, when a user selects this metric, they will see the same field defaulted in the Dependent Field. The widget provides text explaining that this will be the group that the user defined divided by the total of the field for that column. See example below:
In this example, the resulting graph will calculate (Actual Production by State) / (Total Actual Production). This will provide the percent each state comprises of the total for Actual Production.
If a user wanted to see a ratio of Actual Production to Expected Production, they could change the Dependent Data Field to be different from the Data Field.
This would provide (Actual Production by State) / (Expected Production by State). You could change the grouping to Deal Name to get the aggregate ratio of Actual Production to Expected Production.
